Join us as we put two first-class three-row SUVs on display in an Escalade vs. Navigator review. Both are specimens of all-American innovation, but the Escalade's quiet confidence, understated power, and bold cabin appointments pull it into the spotlight. With wins in nearly every category we use to compare Lincoln Navigator and Cadillac Escalade today, the Escalade proves itself a poised and capable model for more than just the daily drive.
DeVoe Cadillac is here to give you a tour of all its modern-era provisions when you're ready to take the next steps.
Which model has the more appealing specifications: Cadillac Escalade or Lincoln Navigator? That can depend on what you're looking for, but we'd say the diversity yielded by the new Escalade gives it the crown. While the Lincoln Navigator's 3.5-liter V-6 engine gives it marginally more standard horsepower (up to 432), the Cadillac Escalade ranks nearly as high (up to 420) but offers the supercharged V-Series edition. This model rockets to 682 horsepower, soaring far beyond the Navigator's power limit.
Torque values hold a closer race, but again, the V-Series Escalade leads with 653 pound-feet of torque, while every Navigator is beholden to an upper limit of 510 pound-feet.
Another point to note is that the Escalade allows you to choose from three drivetrains: rear-wheel, all-wheel, and four-wheel drive. With the Navigator, you're locked into one experience with 4x4 handling, which some may find unnecessary for the daily commute.
Both SUVs in our matchup have extended-wheelbase variants, with the new Escalade ESV and Navigator L engine specs remaining consistent even with the larger frames.

Similar to our Escalade vs. Navigator comparison of specifications, a look at trims yields a Cadillac win – particularly because there's more opportunity to determine your desired personalization level. While the Navigator is appealing, it offers only a trio of options and several add-ons. Meanwhile, the Cadillac SUV doubles that number, rolling onto the scene with six Escalade trims.
One of the available six options is the V-Series, as we mentioned above. It provides the ultimate experience in visionary design, indulgent cabin appointments, and thrilling performance. The Navigator's Black Label model is certainly artfully appointed, but it pales in comparison to the opulent, high-tech interior of the V-Series Escalade – we'll cover that next.

Our new-arrival Escalades are exquisitely appointed. Right from the entry edition, you'll have easy-to-understand visual aids, thanks to a 55-inch HD curved front display spanning the whole front dash, an augmented reality system on a 14.2-inch display, and HD Surround Vision. Plus, wireless smartphone integration, wireless phone charging, and an AKG® Studio 21-speaker audio system come standard.
The Lincoln Navigator is certainly comfortable with wireless smartphone integration and charging, but its Revel audio system is smaller (14 speakers), and its display is smaller (48 inches).
The trend continues when comparing higher-tier options: The Escalade can be equipped with a 38-speaker AKG® audio system, while the Navigator caps it at a 28-speaker Revel system. The Escalade also offers an available Head-Up Display and a Night Vision System.

It's a sweep for the Cadillac SUV in an Escalade vs. Navigator dimensions review. Our chart below can give you the finer details, but we'll give you the highlights here:
Last year's dimensions were largely the same, so you may even want to consider a used Escalade to experience similar sizing at a more approachable monthly rate. We're here to help make that happen – contact DeVoe Cadillac for details.

It's worth noting that the Escalade and Navigator both have variants with longer wheelbases. Even comparing their longer editions, the Cadillac comes out longer, though it is marginally narrower and less than 2 inches shorter. Plus, with the longer Cadillac Escalade ESV, third-row legroom gets a bump to 36.7 inches, making it a touch roomier than the Navigator (36.5 inches).
The Cadillac Escalade isn't the only vehicle with a longer wheelbase, either. You can expect equal spaciousness from its EV sibling, the Cadillac Escalade IQL.
Imagine cruising through the Sunshine State, heading to Turtle Beach to watch the sunrise or spending the evening at Lovers Key State Park. Surely, a Lincoln SUV or a Cadillac model can handle the drive, but only one brand can deliver the adventure you seek without using a single drop of gasoline: Cadillac.
With a diverse selection of options, the Cadillac brand may seem a better fit for drivers seeking a reduced carbon footprint and significantly lower fuel costs, thanks to several new EVs for sale. As we mentioned in the last section, this includes an all-electric version of the Cadillac Escalade.
Here are a few reasons to consider EV operation:
At the time of this writing, the Lincoln automaker has only plug-in hybrid vehicles, which can be appealing but only manage very limited EV ranges while using gasoline for the majority of their operation.

Although our guide has come to a close, there's so much more to learn. Here at DeVoe Cadillac, your Florida Escalade dealer, we can help you explore the immersive technology and near-cinematic cabin that each Escalade presents.
For those interested in a shorter-term commitment, we can help you discover the benefits of starting an Escalade lease, too.
Both luxury SUVs in our matchup are reliable options. Either vehicle can last 250,000 miles or more, depending on the care and maintenance it receives over its lifespan. Plus, both hail from dependable brands, receiving Above Average reliability scores from RepairPal.1,2
Resale value can be determined by several factors, such as how well the vehicle has been maintained and the vehicle's wear and tear. According to CarEdge, however, the Cadillac Escalade is estimated to depreciate more slowly than the Lincoln Navigator and have a higher resale value after five years.3,4
The Escalade has a higher power ceiling than the Lincoln Navigator. While the Navigator provides a bit more standard horsepower, the Escalade V-Series model is capable of producing 682 horsepower. The Lincoln Navigator is capped at its 432-horsepower rating across its entire lineup.
The significant differences between the top-trim Cadillac Escalade and Lincoln Navigator include their technologies. The Cadillac Escalade delivers a 38-speaker AKG® audio system, Night Vision System, and Head-Up Display. The Navigator puts up a good fight but has shortcomings, such as no more than 28 speakers for audio or forgoing Night Vision.
