The 7 Best Beaches in Naples, Florida

When the weather warms up, our thoughts turn toward taking a trip to the beach. Naples, Florida, located on the eastern side of the Gulf of Mexico, is home to fabulous world-class beaches. Here are seven of our favorites.

1. Clam Pass Beach Park

Clam Pass Beach Park, about six miles north of Naples, is one of the best overall beaches and parks in the Naples area. From the parking lot, you can take a free tram ride to the beach or stroll along the 3,000-foot boardwalk to get there. As you pass through the spectacular mangrove forest, keep your eyes open for native birds and wildlife. Once you arrive at the beach, enjoy swimming in the crystal-clear water or walking in the white sand.

2. Vanderbilt Beach

Vanderbilt Beach, located in the upscale North Naples area, is one of the most popular beaches in Naples. The 9-mile beach offers visitors plenty of space to spread out, where you can walk in the white sand, swim in the warm, clear water, or sunbathe. Vanderbilt Beach is a great family-friendly beach with restrooms and showers.

3. Lowdermilk Beach Park

There’s plenty of activities to partake in at Lowdermilk Beach Park in North Naples. The offshore sandbar makes the beach a safe place for swimming and is ideal for families. There are sand volleyball courts, concession stands, restrooms, and showers.

4. Naples Municipal Beach and Pier

With over 10 miles of beach to walk along and a pier that extends 1,000 feet over the clear water, Naples Municipal Beach and Pier is one of the most popular beaches in Naples. There are several volleyball courts set up along the beach, and there are children’s life vests that you can borrow and return after a fun day at the beach. The beach and pier are easy to access from Gulf Shore Blvd. South or 12th Avenue South.

5. Barefoot Beach Preserve Park

About 17 miles north of downtown Naples is Barefoot Beach Preserve Park. The beach sits on one of Florida’s only undeveloped barrier islands, and the beach is surrounded by native flora. The beach itself is over 8,200 feet and is great for walking along or watching the sunset in a quiet location.

6. Delnor-Wiggins Pass State Park

Take a trip to one of Florida’s most pristine beaches just north of Naples at Delnor-Wiggins Pass State Park. The multi-use beach includes activities such as paddleboarding, kayaking, boating, bird-watching, sunbathing, and swimming. The park has restrooms, showers, a water fountain, and concessions.

7. Bonita Beach Park

About 15 miles north of downtown Naples is Bonita Beach Park. The beach is known for its large number of seashells, powder-white sand, and clear waters to play in. There are concession stands, playgrounds, picnic shelters with tables and grills, and a place to rent beach chairs and umbrellas. Bonita Beach has compact sand that makes it an ideal beach to jog on.
